This page explains the cookies and similar storage technologies that SportSYNC uses. We aim to use only what's necessary to operate the Service.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, store preferences, and provide information to site owners. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage.

2. Essential cookies and storage we use

Authentication session — set by next-auth, stores your signed-in session token. Strictly necessary for the Service to work. Locale preference — set by next-intl, remembers your chosen language across visits. Cookie banner state — stored in your browser's localStorage; remembers that you have dismissed the banner. We do not currently use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

3. Third-party cookies

The Service does not load third-party tracking scripts on the marketing site or inside the application. Sub-processors (Vercel, Sentry) may set technical cookies to operate their services; they do not track individuals across sites.

4. How to control cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking the authentication session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in. Blocking the locale preference cookie will reset your language to the default on each visit. To clear localStorage, use your browser's site-data settings.

5. Changes to this policy

If we add new cookies (e.g., analytics) we will update this page and ask for fresh consent through the cookie banner before activating them.
